The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is the Government of Canada's organization responsible for investing in health research.

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) is the federal research funding agency that promotes and supports research and training in the humanities and social sciences.

The creation of the website and the launch event were funded through the SSHRC Connection Grant program.

Since 1997, the exceptional contribution of the J.-Louis Lévesque Foundation to the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University has amounted to nearly $5.5 million. This significant donation has enabled the creation of the Chair in Palliative Care Research, the Canada Research Chair in Molecular Virology and Genomic Instability, as well as the Jeanne-and-J.-Louis-Lévesque Chair in Perinatal Medicine held by Dr. Emmanuel Bujold. Unique in Canada, it is the only chair from a private foundation dedicated to the health of the mother and her child during pregnancy
