Source studies

The PRÉVENTION cohort is funded by three source studies.

The product of three source studies, the PRÉVENTION cohort project was designed as a collaborative platform on which a large-scale database that includes biological samples and follows participants from conception to adulthood, could be developed.

  1. Stream 1 of the PRÉVENTION 2.0 study – Emmanuel Bujold: Prospective longitudinal study observing the clinical impact of systematic pre-eclampsia screenings during the first trimester combined with preterm labour screenings during the second trimester.
  2. Stream 2 of the PRÉVENTION 2.0 study – Gina Muckle: Study on cannabis use and its effects on the course and outcome of pregnancy, as well as on the health and development of preschool-age children
  3. Study on parental behaviour – Célia Matte-Gagné: Parental behaviour and the inter-generational transmission of mental health problems: A study of a father-mother-child cohort starting from the prenatal period
